William R. "Bill" Poole, 84, Clarksville, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center.
A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Charley Carmack officiating. Burial will follow in Welker Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Poole was born April 9, 1927 in Montgomery County, TN and was preceded in death by his parents, Comadore and Nellie Rinehart Poole.
He was a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church, a retired farmer and also retired from B.F. Goodrich.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Groves Poole, Clarksville; daughter, Roxanne (Tommy) Poole Powell, Clarksville; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Albright, Mark Delph, Scott Poole, Roy Proctor, Shane Poole and Toby Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Murff, Larry Jarrell, Norris Heggie and Barry Guthrie.
