Bill Maners, age 88 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
Funeral service honoring the life of Bill Maners will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Clarksville with Dr. Daniel Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery, Bruceton, TN.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 12 noon until the hour of service on Saturday at First Baptist Church.
Bill was born on May 19, 1928 in Mercer, TN, the son of Oswald and Ina Marie Maners. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jeannine Eason Maners.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and the Mississippi National Guard from 1955-1959 earning the rank of Sergeant First Class. Bill retired from the railroad after 45 years and attended First Baptist Church.
He is survived by son, Steve Maners; daughter, Kathy (Dave) Patterson; sister, Betty Jean (Billy) Lewis; grandchildren, Dr. Daniel (Molly) Patterson, Scott (Bethany) Patterson, and Kimberly Patterson; great-grandchildren. Emma and Claire.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Davis, Glenn DeWitt, Jeff Geary, and Scott Patterson.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
