Bettye Sue Latham, age 87 of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2020.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020, with Rev. Jodi McBryant officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Bettye was born on December 14, 1933, in Cumberland City, TN, daughter of the late Harvey Jackson Stinson Sr. and Ora Lee Powers Stinson. She attended Austin Peay Normal. She was a member of Sailors Rest United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Marshall County Home Makers. Bettye loved and enjoyed spending time with all her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Melton; siblings, Harvey J. Stinson, Jr., Mary Francis Miller and Jimmy Stinson.
Left to Cherish her memory is her husband, Clarence Jay Latham Jr; children, Danny (Laura) Melton Sr. and Debbie (Terry) Griffin; grandchildren, Jodi Dixon, Danny Ray Melton Jr., Amanda (Justin) Clinard, Allen Griffin, Kelsey Melton, and Casey Melton; great grandchildren, Garrett Melton, Riley Dixon, Karlee Dixon, Trey Melton, Adaleah Clinard, and Annsleah Clinard; great-great grandchildren, Wren Melton, Everett Dixon, and Charlotte Enloe.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bettye Latham Memorial Scholarship of the American Legion Auxiliary 3234 Needmore Road, Calvert City, KY 42029.
The Latham family would like to extend their gratitude to Vanderbilt ICU, especially nurse Anna for their loving care to Mrs. Bettye.
