Betty Rushing

Betty Elizabeth Rushing, age 89, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Signature Health Care of Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Creasy and the Rev. Wendell Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Betty entered this life on March 22, 1924 in Montgomery County, daughter to Lawrence and Marine Williams Riggins. She was retired from Wal-Mart and was a faithful member of the church family at the Clarksville Church of God of Prophecy.
She has gone to be reunited with her husband, Medford David Rushing and sons, Michael Dean "Little Bill" Rushing and Melvin Don "Curley" Rushing. She leaves behind her loving children, Wynford Vaughn Rushing of Clarksville, Danny Lynn Rushing of Clarksville, Judy K. Rushing Brown and husband James of Clarksville, and Cindy Michelle Milam and husband Rob of Murfreesboro; and siblings, Bobby Riggins, Wendell Riggins, Cindy M. Mugridge, and Helen Carrasco. She was the loving grandmother of eleven, great grandmother of twenty, and great-great grandmother of one.
