Betty Jane Peay, age 73, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Arrington officiating. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
The Peay family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 2 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home.
Betty entered into this life on September 7, 1942 in Montgomery County to the late Paul and Bessie Dyce Scott. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed tending to her family. Betty was a member of the church family at First Baptist Church of Clarksville.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Austin Peay; children, James M. Anderson and his wife Crystal and Paul J. Anderson and his wife Kelly; children by marriage, Austin Peay VII and Marty Shaw and her husband Grant; brother, Wesley Scott; and sisters, Pauline Bagwell and husband James, Joan Weakley and husband Walter, and Gail Barnes and husband Earl. She was the loving grandmother to Asa, Ari, Aiden and Landon.
Betty's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
