Betty Lois Sullivan Meadow

Betty Lois Sullivan Meadow, age 92 of Erin, TN, passed away June 7, 2023 at Signature Healthcare of Erin.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Erin United Methodist Church with Rev. Jamie Mandrell officiating. Burial will follow in Lockhart Cemetery.

The Meadow family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday morning at the church.

Betty entered this life on March 30, 1931 in Nashville, TN, daughter to the late James Young Sullivan and Hester Mae Ashworth Sullivan. Betty graduated from the Watkins Business School and had a servant’s heart. She volunteered many hours to her community serving as CPR instructor for both American Red Cross and the Houston County Rescue Squad. She loved working with the Houston County Chapter of Girls Scouts, but most of all she loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Edwin Meadow; and brother, James Howard Sullivan.

Betty leaves behind her loving children, John (Glenda) Meadow, Jeff Meadow, Rebecca (Everett) Chretien; sister, Judy Mai (Richard) Abers; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
