Betty Gunson

Betty Katherine Gunson, age 87 formerly of Cumberland City, TN, passed away November 22, 2021 at Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center in Soddy Daisy, TN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Gunson Cemetery.
The Gunson family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at noon.
Betty entered this life on July 27, 1934 in Houston County, TN, daughter to the late John B. and Nellie Jarman Daniel. Betty was a member of Sailors Rest United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Woodrow Gunson; sons, John Gunson, Bill Gunson; siblings, John L. Daniel, James “JT” Daniel, Eura Jean Averitte, Laura Mae Smithey and Louise Green.
Survivors include her loving children, Ida Walsch, Alice (Vernon) Knight; daughter in law, Linda Gunson; special niece, Katherine “sister” Patton; grandchildren, Carlotta Lontine, Michael (Lila) Gunson, Seth (Alison) Knight, Tracy (Robert) Bullock, Brianne Knight; seven great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Gunson, Seth Knight, John Bryant, Ronnie Bryant, Phillip Shuff and Charlie Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Smithey and Romie Averett.
