Bessie “Bess” Marie Young Brander, 91 of Dover, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Felts Dent officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
Bessie was born July 20, 1924 in Dover, the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Young and Eula Belle Trawick Young. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick C. Brander and daughter, Gloria Padgett. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She leaves behind her daughter, Melanie Brander; sons, Fredrick Christian (Bridget) Brander and David Jeffrey (Gloria) Brander; grandchildren, Heather Jernigan, Keagan Brander, Melissa Smith, Scott Padgett, Evan Smith, Christopher (Jessica) Brander, Patrick (Kylee) Teasley, Isabella Brander; great-grandchildren, Merissa Teasley, Gracie Jernigan, Anthony Risch, Erik Brander, Abigail Brander, Alyssa Brander, Austin Brander, and Evan Brander.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Jernigan, Scott Padgett, Howard Smith, Christopher Brander, Evan Smith, Erik Brander, Dale Welker, and Mitchell Welker.
