Bertha Yates - 1918 Bertha Lee Yates, 92, Tennessee Ridge, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at her residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 11am Tuesday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ken Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30pm until 8pm Monday and from 8am until service Tuesday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bertha was born April 4, 1918 in Beach Bluff,Tn.daughter of the late James and Katy Fletcher Terry she was preceded in death by her husband John Wesley Yates Sr. She was a member of Erin United Methodist Church, Golden Agers, and U.M.W. Survivors include one son John Yates Jr. of Sylvania,Ohio two daughters Barbara Whorton of Kingsport,Tn. JoAnn Richardson of Tennessee Ridge,Tn. six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
