Bernita Bowers

Bernita Marlene Ann Bowers, 74, Guthrie, KY, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at her residence. A memorial service will held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010, at her home. The remains are to be cremated. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 17, 1936 in Bermerton, WA and was preceded in death by her parents, William Huebert and Bernita Bernice Grisby Buettgenbach. Mrs. Bowers was a retired dispatcher for QWest Phone Company. She was a Christian and member of the Square Dance Club in the State of Washington. Her special achievements in life include her only daughter, squaredancing and her work and award at the Phone Company. Survivors include her daughter, Laurie (Wendell) Jackson, Guthrie; grandsons, Toby Jackson, Lonnie (Heather) Bell, and J.R. Bell; granddaughter, Candie Sue (Jeremy) Davis; brother, Carl (Ellie) Buettgenbach; sister, Pamela K. (Vaughn) Taylor; friends, Sharon Francisco, Barb Finch, Steve Mattingly and Teresa Vorhees.
