Mary Bernice (Aunt Bea) Lyle, 76, Clarksville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Casey officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Bernice was born May 7, 1936 in Houston County, Tennessee, daughter of William Nolen Parker and Lottie Mae Harris Parker. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Bernice was the former owner and operator of Aunt Bea's Tea Room. She loved cooking and at one time authored a cookbook.
Bernice is survived by her loving family which include her husband of 58 years, Raybourne Lyle of Clarksville; her son and his wife, the Rev. Willie Lyle and Suzette of Cumberland City; daughters, Annette Cole and her husband James of Clarksville and Barbette Norfleet of Lafayette, TN; her brothers, Landy Parker, Charles (June Bug) Parker, Vernon Parker, and Billy Joe Parker; her sisters, Francis Rogers and Susie Toney; 17 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren with 4 more expected.
Pallbearers will be Freddie Lyle, Scott Lyle, Freddie Parchman, Robert Parchman, Eddie Rye, and Roy Carson.
