Benjamin Edmondson

Benjamin Irvin Edmondson, 101, Clarksville, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 3, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday August 6, 2013 at Faith Chapel First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Riley and Dr. John Laida officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 PM Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 1 PM to time of service Tuesday at First Baptist Church .
Benjamin entered this life on July 28, 1912 in Clarksville, TN, son of Oscar Dee Edmondson and Huldah Anna Lyle. He was retired from B.F. Goodrich and Vulcan, also serving as custodian for First Baptist Church for many years. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and the Barraca Class.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Pauline B. Edmondson, Clarksville; children, Ben I. (Judy) Edmondson, Clarksville, Glenda (John) Hagewood, Georgia (Jim) Webber and Malinda (Smitty) Johnson; 10 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by one son, John R. Edmondson, Sr. Pallbearers will be Jeff Edmondson, Wally Hicks, Jim Webber, John Hagewood, John Edmondson, Jr., Shane Wall, Nathaniel Edmondson and Luis Sacoto.
