Beaulah Mae Jackson Broome, 81, Palmyra, left to be with her heavenly father, Wednesday, September 9, 2009, after an extended illness. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. David Fambrough officiating. She will be laid to rest at Broome Cemetery, Palmyra. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Broome was born April 1, 1928 in Montgomery County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Nellie Jackson; husband, James Louise Broome Sr.; daughter, Mildred Louise Coxwell; son, Jerry Glenn; granddaughter, Cindy Coxwell; grandson, James Louise III; four brothers and two sisters. She was a homemaker, and a Baptist. She is survived by nine children: Kathleen Proctor, James Jr. (Debbie), Larry (Brenda), Helen Austin, Clifford (Teresa), Tommy (Connie), Patty Hughes (Mike), Tony, and Herbert (Dee Dee); twenty nine grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Larry Broome, Tommy Broome, Clifford Broome and Herbert Broome. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
