Bailey Norfleet, age 80, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at his home in Clarksville.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Revs. Terrell Marcom & Bill Morris officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated and interred at Greenwood Cemetery.
Bailey was born in 1932 in the Oakwood community of Montgomery County. He was a graduate of Clarksville High School and the University of Omaha. Bailey was a B-52 crewman while in the U.S. Air Force and retired with the rank of Major. He later went on to retire from the U.S. Postal Service. Bailey attended Excell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Pauline (Russell) Norfleet, originally from Nantucket, Mass.; three daughters: Lorraine Stamper and her husband Claudie of Clarksville; Sheri Gill and her husband Donnie of Coopertown and Lisa Johnson and her husband Kirby of Huntsville, Alabama; and grandchildren, Emily Kinkade, Nathan Stamper, Matthew Stamper, Lealand Johnson, and Katie Johnson.
