Austin Schmidt

Austin Lee Schmidt 65, of Erin, Tennessee passed away Tuesday December 15, 2015 at Centennial Medical Center. He was born July 21, 1950 in Houston County, Tn. son of the late Almond Schmidt and Ida Frances Deason Schmidt. Alton was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and Army veteran. A celebration of his life will be 2pm Saturday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. L.C. Hollingsworth officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm Friday and from8am until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rye Colter Cemetery with Military honors. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Cook Schmidt, son William A. Schmidt (Michelle), daughter Vanesa Mealer (Mike), one brother Vernon Schmidt (Sherri), four sisters Rachel Varden (Bubba), Wanda Self (Jessie), Dottie Self (Terry), Rosie Powell (Gene), six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
