Arthur Sloan

Arthur Raymond Sloan, 82, Erin, died Thursday, August 27,2009, at Signature Health Care. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Moody officiating. Burial will be in Hagler Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home. He was born April 19, 1927 in Flint, Michigan son of the late Philip and Ethel Darling Sloan. He was preceded in death by his wife Ginny Sloan, step father Raymond Sloan, brother Philip, baby sister, one grandaughter, and two great grandsons. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, Taylor, Michigan, VFW Post 9689, Erin Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include sons Robert Sloan (Barbara) of Dearborn,Michigan, and Donald Sloan of Winter Park, Florida, daughters Linda Mullins (Pete)of Erin, and Katherine Gray of Oviedo, Florida, and brother and sister-in-law Rich and Sue Zurawski, six grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be T.J. Sloan, Cori Fraley, Donnie Clark, Jimmy Clark, Rich Zurawski, and Robert Sloan.
