Arthur “Charles” Booker, age 85 of Stewart, TN, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Houston County Community Hospital.
Charles entered this life on October 15, 1936 in Stewart, TN, son to the late Stanley and Rosella Booker. After High School, Charles moved to Detroit to pursue a career in window washing. Following his time in Detroit, Charles moved to Chicago where he would retire. Following retirement, Charles moved back to his homeplace in Stewart where he became an avid commercial fisherman. He loved the water and his Pabst Blue Ribbon. Charles often would say that every day at the lake was a day in paradise. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Scottie Booker.
Survivors include his loving children, Debbra Gray, Danny (Dawn) Booker, Darrin (Kathy) Booker; brothers, Gary Booker, Bruce (Sara) Booker; and his precious grandchildren, Katharine Gray, Joseph Gray and Jason.
A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home.
