Arthur “Art” Carl Jackson, 77, of Clarksville, TN passed away at his residence Monday, July 7, 2014.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Chapel with the Rev. Paul Bunger officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson was born May 25, 1937 in Carrier Mills, IL, the son of the late Hubert F. and Reba Barum Jackson. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, Retired Director of Veterans Services Organization for Montgomery County and member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Linda Sue Carlson Jackson.
Survivors include his daughters; Darcy J. Moore (Chip), and Amy Sue Jackson Tanner(Tracey), both of Clarksville. He was the proud grandfather of Matthew Moore, Rachel Smith (Jeremy), Jacob Moore (Haley), and Katherine Hayes and great grandfather to Aiden Smith, Zahnia Bailey, Abel Smith, and Madelyn Smith.
Pallbearers will be Chip Moore, Tracey Tanner, Jacob Moore, Jeremy Smith, Jay Chantler, and Larry Springfield.
