James Arnold Hodges, age 69 of Cunningham passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Hopewell Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Arnold entered this life on March 9, 1952, in Clarksville, TN to the late James and Agnes McWhorter Hodges. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and retired from the State of Tennessee after 36 years as a Forestry Technician. Arnold was also an active Montgomery County Commissioner and a part-time farmer.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Sherry Smith Hodges; sons, Brian (Sherry) Marek and Kevin (Kim) Marek; grandchildren, Alyson Holland, Jessica Marek, and Kaitlyn Marek; great-grandchild, Raleigh Holland; brother, Greg Hodges, and God-given family, Jason, Katie and Kason Barefoot.
Pallbearers will be Troy Holland, Brian Ashby, Levi Ashby, Caleb Ashby, Justin Hodges, and Mike Wilkins. Honorary Pallbearer will be Steven Ashby.
