Ara Moore

Ara Elizabeth (Hodges) Moore, age 80 of Clarksville passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Ara entered this life on January 9, 1941 in Clarksville, TN to the late Douglas and Mary Alice Hodges. She worked for Acme Boot for several years before becoming a full time homemaker. She loved taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. Ara was an avid reader, loved animals, and music. She was kind hearted and compassionate. Ara will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Windell Moore; brothers, Bracky, Doug, and Tommy Hodges; sisters, Margie (Hodges) Ham, and Juanita (Hodges) Jackson.
Survivors include her daughters, Lori (Moore) Powell and Angela Moore; grandchildren, Nikki Powell, and Ryan Powell; sisters, Alice (Hodges) Moul, and Brenda (Hodges) Biter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
