Anne Peay Rudolph Cunningham, 97, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at her home. She was born on May 5, 1918, in Clarksville, Tennessee to Paul Rudolph and Cornelia Watts Rudolph. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Chapman Cunningham, who died May 30, 1974. She was a graduate of Ward Belmont College. She was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church, Captain William Edmiston Chapter of DAR and the Art Study Class.
She is survived by her daughters, Cornelia Cunningham Mitchell and her husband, John L. Mitchell of Clarksville, Anne Cunningham Ross and her husband, Dr. Charles Ross of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; grandchildren, John L. Mitchell, Jr., and wife Heather Mitchell of Atlanta, Anne Karlen Garrard and husband, Dr. Louis Garrard of Nashville, Cornelia Mitchell Rocconi and husband, Larry A. Rocconi, Jr., Dr. John Ross and wife, Elizabeth Ross of Nashville, Dr. James Ross and wife, Camilla Ross of Cambridge, Massachusetts and sister, Paula Rudolph Sauder of Emporia, Kansas. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren, Clifford Louis Garrard, IV, Paul Chapman Garrard, Cornelia Frances Garrard, Marguerite Anne Mitchell, Elizabeth Talley Mitchell, Charles Emerson Mitchell, Anne Marie Rocconi, Eleanor Hatton Rocconi, Gracey Anne Ross and Marcus Danforth Ross.
She will be greatly missed by family, friends, and her special caregivers, Helen Black, Crystal Ligon, Mary Hebert, Stephane Proctor, Lynn Stites, and Asera Care Hospice.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, September 25, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dorothy Hartzog officiating. Following the service, visitation will be held at the Cunningham home, 1224 Madison Street, Clarksville, Tennessee from 3-5 p.m.
Pallbearers will be John L. Mitchell, Jr., Dr. John Ross, Dr. James Ross, Dr. Louis Garrard, Larry Rocconi, Jr., Clifford Garrard, Paul Garrard, and Charles Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
