Anna Belle Dawson Black, age 97 of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Black was born December 3, 1917, the daughter of Dillard Dawson and Mamie Morgan Dawson. She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. She was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church also order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Black; Son, Gaylon; brother, Douglas Dawson; sisters, Verdie Harvey, Clara Swift, Bertha Baggett, Georgia Swift, and Edna Gullett.
Survivors include one grandson, Quinton Black, three great-granddaughters, many nephews and nieces, also her dear friend Jeff Akin.
Pallbearers will be Arnold Hodges, Billy Shelton, Bennie Conaster, Randy Dawson, Frank Chadwick, and Roger Halliday.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gum Springs Sunday School class.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gum Springs Cemetery Fund.
