Mrs. Amba Cherry, age 91 of Erin, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Houston County Community Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February, 23, 2018 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Moody and Rev Scott Russell officiating. Burial will follow in McMillan Cemetery.
The Cherry family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday afternoon.
Amba entered this life on February 19, 1927 in Houston County, TN, daughter to the late James and Gertrude Lacy Madden. Amba retired from Southern Gage after years of service, and attended Arlington Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, Amba was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Cherry; sisters, Ruby Tefft, Elizabeth Winters; brothers, J.W. Madden, Joseph Madden, and William Lee Madden.
Survivors include her loving children, Reta Brady (Jimmy), Cheryl Felts (Eddie), Sherry Conatser (Pete), and Dwayne Cherry (Norma). Amba also leaves behind nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Brady, Brad Conatser, Curt Cherry, Troy Gayler, Kyle Miller, and Carmon Tefft. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe -Joe Madden, Jacky Wayne Madden, John Brady, and James Brady.
