Allen Dwayne Givens, 67 of Southside, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his home.
A celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jon Justice officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 and 9a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Allen was born July 13, 1946 in Nashville, TN son of Junior Dee Givens and Lorene Buttery Givens Mackey. He was retired from Trane, a Baptist and a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Givens.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Rebecca Swaw Givens; son, Matthew Allen Givens (Courtney) of Spring Hill, TN; daughter, Amanda Dee Givens (John Huggins) of Indian Mound, TN; mother, Lorene Buttery Givens Mackey of Nashville, TN; brothers, William Givens, Johnny Givens, Paul Whittaker, Bruce Whittaker and Donnie Whittaker; sisters, Linda Baker and Sue Ann Adams; grandchildren, Makayla Givens, Logan Huggins, Cody Huggins, Avery Givens and Delaney Givens.
Pallbearers will be, Monty Merrell, Jason Merrell, Jeff Herald, Wendell Bradford, Brandon Moore, Robert Huff and Freddy Huggins.
