Allen Copeland

Allen G. Copeland, 69, Woodlawn, TN, died Friday, March 13, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave-Larson Chapel with Rev. James Sheperd officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 12 noon until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born December 17, 1939 in Hartsville, TN, son of the late Bertie Lee and Dovie Raines Copeland. He was preceeded in death by his son, Mike Copeland, and brother, John Copeland. He attended First Baptist Church of Woodlawn, retired from Trane Company after 36 years of service, was a member of the Ajax Turner Senior Citizens Center, and was a long time supporter of Biker's Who Care Children's Charities. Survivors include; daughter, Kim Duckworth (Jim), Woodlawn, brothers Gary Copleand and Howard Copeland, sisters, Joyce Bruso, Janet Rushing, and Ruthie Lyle, and grandson Matthew D. Duckworth, all of Clarksville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Biker's Who Care, Inc., P.O. Box 1253, Clarksville, TN 37040-1253.
