Alex Espersen, 71, Clarksville passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
A celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Excell Baptist Church with Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel and Thursday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Mr. Espersen was born August 2, 1944 in Breum, Denmark and was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Anna Pedersen Espersen and brothers, Robert Espersen and Evald Espersen.
He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, member of Excell Baptist Church, and retired truck driver for Byard Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Stanley Espersen; step-sons, Jonathan Lusby and Jason Lusby, both of Clarksville; sister, Ruth Pedersen and brothers, Fritz Espersen, Benny Espersen, John Espersen, and Bent Espersen, all of Denmark; sister-in-laws, Edna Pulley, Betty Moore, Martha Trainer, Ann (Rich) Westrich, Judy (John) Moreno, all of Clarksville; and brother-in-law, Charles (Shirley) Stanley, Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews in Denmark.
Pallbearers will be Justin McKay, Jason Lusby, Ricky Westrich, Tommy Trainer, Jerry Edwards and Jeff Berube.
