Albertha Rose Gehl, 81, Clarksville, died Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Father Athanasius Abanulo officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.

She was born August 26, 1927 in East St. Louis, ILL and was the daughter of Albert and Elsie Roy Davitz. Mrs. Gehl was a homemaker, a Catholic, a member of the VFW Post 4895 Auxilary and the DAV Chapter Hardy Shelby Auxilary. She is survived by her husband, Richard A Gehl, Clarksville; sons, Richard Andrew (Sharon) Gehl, Clarksville, Robert Alan (Betty) Gehl, Evansville, IND; daughters, Pamela Rae Coppel, Cupertino, CA, Patricia Ann (Michael) Doyle, Clarksville; grandchildren, Crystal Coppel, Cody Coppel, Angela Moore; great-grandson, Nathaniel Moore.
