Alberta Byard

Alberta Byard, 74, Clarksville, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will be in Keesee Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home. She was born September 14, 1934 in Clarksville and was the daughter of the late Clifton and Bessie Settle Potter. Mrs. Byrad retired from United Rubber Workers and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, A.B. "Buck" Byard; children, James Ray (Gail) Byard, Carla Lynne Nicholson, Rob (Kim) Byard, Sandra (Ronnie Joe) Bryant, grandchildren, Buck Daniel Byard, Markus Byard, Donald Black, Will Black, Morgan Nicholson, Madison Nicholson, Robyn Byard, Levi Byard, Mackenzie Byard, Lindsey Augustine; great-grandchild, Toby Byard. Pallbearers will be Timmy Jones, Anthony Black, Cody Tatum, Dale Bandy, Andy Allsion and Chris Blackwell. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
