Albert "Big AL" Thomas Scheller, age 72 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Father David Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2014 with a Rosary service to follow at 7 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Albert was born on May 5, 1942 in Allentown, PA, the son of Thomas Albert Scheller and Caroline Barbara Updegrove Scheller. He is a retired SSG of the U.S. Army and a veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of DAV, American Legion, and was a parishioner of St. Michaels Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus (4th degree).
In addition to his parents, Albert is preceded in death by his daughter, Robyn Theresa Scheller; siblings, Bernice Atkins, Edward Scheller, Ruth Long, Minnie Zimmerman, and Cathey Ridell; in-laws, Mike Kozar and Mary Kozar.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy Elizabeth Kozar Scheller; son, Paul Allan; grandchild, Clay Michael; siblings, Barbara Edwards and Margaret Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 448 State Line Rd. Oak Grove, KY 42262.
