Alan Phillips

Alan Wayne Phillips, age 75, of Cumberland City, TN passed away peacefully in his home on April 22, 2024. 

Alan was born in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania on November 25, 1948 to John and Betty Phillips. He was one of 5 siblings. Alan joined the US Marines in 1966, serving our country through two tours in Vietnam. After his return from Vietnam, he met Roberta Jean Pierce, whom he married in 1970. They were married 54 years and had 3 children, whom he leaves behind: John Alan Phillips of Cumberland City, Tennessee; Rachel Ann Heckler of Dunkard, Pennsylvania; Anna Jean Phillips of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He also leaves behind one sister, Roxann Puchi, of Cecil, Pennsylvania. Alan also had 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. 

Alan is preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Phillips and Betty Lorraine (Whitfield) Phillips. Also preceding him in death were his siblings, Diane Abernathy, Johnny Jean Ambrosavich, and Edward Phillips. 

At Alan’s request, no service or funeral will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alan’s name to Rolling Thunder Charities at www.rollingthunder1.com/donate.
