Alvin Helling, “Al” age, 72 of Palmyra, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sukowatey and Rev. James Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow at First Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Palmyra.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
Al was born on August 25, 1943 in Leslie, Missouri, the son of the late Alvin G. Helling and Loretta Helling. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughters, Robin Helling and Angel Helling. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a retired truck driver. After retirement, he enjoyed lawn mowers and lawn mower repair.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Helling; children, Laura Whisenhunt, Lynn (Gene) Suiter, and Lisa (Dale) Boulier; grandchildren, Jessica Helling, Daniel Suiter, Jayce Whisenhunt, Taylor Boulier, Carter Boulier, great-grandchild, Karley Helling.; sisters, Pat (Don) Kappelmann and Shirley (John) Brune of New Haven, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gene Suiter, Daniel Suiter, Dale Boulier, William Rye, Edward Card, and Chris Bolin.
