Addie Lucille Smith, 89, Cumberland Furnace, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at her farm.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at Slayden Emmanuel Church with the Rev. James Greene officiating. Burial will be in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Friday.
Addie was born December 21, 1921 in Montgomery County, daughter of Ramey and Emma Lee Mathis Shelton. She was a member of Slayden Emmanuel Church and had previously been employed with Mason & Hughes, Acme Boot Company, and Schrader's. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Smith.
Survivors include her sons Jerry (Heather) Smith and James (Vicki) Smith, both of Cumberland Furnace, daughter Janet Smith and her husband Jim Fowler, of Columbia, TN, grandchildren Whitney Martin, Brian Smith, Jessica Vanneste, Frank Smith, Mat Smith, and Alexandra Hiles, and great grandchildren Sarah Martin, McKinsey Martin, Rebecca Smith, Addie Vanneste, and Halic Vanneste.
