Ada L. Bankhead Deb, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
Her family will begin receiving visitors from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at The Bruce Convention Center, 303 Conference Center Dr., Hopkinsville, KY. Burial will immediately follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Ada entered this life on November 12, 1948 in Sulligent, Alabama to her late parents, Arthur Bankhead, Sr. and Mary Thompson Bankhead. In addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, Ada enjoyed helping out with the Memorial Boot Display and also Wreaths Across America. She was a founding member of the National Musuem of African American History & Culture, a member of the local chapter of the AARP, and a member of the Tennessee State University Alumni Assoc. Additionally, Ada was a Gold Star Wife and preceded by her husband, SFC (Ret) Alok Deb.
Survivors include her children, LTC (Ret) Ashok Deb and Tushina (Deb) Franklyn; grandchildren, Darius Stoner and SGT D'Anta Franklyn; surviving siblings, Jackson Bankhead, Majorie Oliver, and Loretta Callum; and her surviving in-laws, Anup Deb, Aruna Deb Roy, Anjana Deb
