Condolence: Ethel,

I’m sorry to be out of town this week and will miss the chance to visit and talk to you personally. It was fun meeting Bill last year when he came to direct the tree cutting at my home after Hurricane Harvey took down one of my trees. I hope you are finding comfort from friends and family.

Blessings, Janet

Condolence: Ethel,my face was wet with tears when Carolyn sent us the news about Bill's death. But what fun he's having up there with all those Christians and beloved family members--advance party, sort of, checking things out.

He was so much fun to be around. One time sesveral of us Disaster Relief ladies were sitting around together taking a break on a job site, and Bill, decked out in some kind of Sam Spade type overcoat, saunters up and positions himself in front of us ladies like a flasher, and jerks open his coat, not realizing his pants were unzipped! (Well, maybe he did...ha)

He was all fun and games, except when he had a chain saw in his hands, and then we all knew to stay clear. HE was a LEAN,MEAN, CUTTING MACHINE with a chain saw!

You and he made Bobby and me feel welcome in Disaster Relef. It was the glow on your face following one of your trips to help families in need after storms had put trees through their houses that pulled us in. We wanted to be a blessing like that, not even realizing the blessing would be multiplied back to us many times over. And the look on the faces of those discouraged families when we all showed up to help, free of charge, and in the process, showed the love of God to them. One lady in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina said, "We thought God was mad at us," and then He sent a whole van load of us there to help them in their time of trouble.

Bill was the one up there on her roof cutting that huge oak tree off. He couldn't hear anything up there, of course, how she saw God's love in action through him, but, after all, that's the reason he was up there.

God bless you, Ethel, and may the Holy Sprit, the greatest Comforter of all, be by you and in you in the coming days.
We just love you and will pray for you every day.Mary and Bobby

Condolence: My life is so much richer because Bill was a positive influence every time our Disaster Relief Team went on a call. He had a world of stories, a great sense of humor, and a heart that was so enormous it could never be measured. He loved God and wanted the people we helped with tornados, flood recovery, fires and so much more all over the nation to know our Lord as well. Earth has lost a dedicated Christian hero, but heaven is being well blessed with his stories.
Ethel my heart hurts for you, but rejoice in knowing you will join Bill some day, and he doesn't have any health problems now.

Condolence: We are so very sorry for your loss. Your family has always held a special place in our hearts--all the way back to Royal Ambassadors! Bill always had a smile on his face and if our memory serves correctly, a fondness for zucchini bread! Our prayers, love and concern are with you all.
